About our melts

As a small, family run business, you can be assured that our melts are not mass produced. This means that each melt is hand poured with much care and attention to detail. Fragrances and colors are carefully matched with creative use of glitter and flower buds adding a little personality to each melt!
Our eco-consciousness means that buying from us guarantees you guilt-free home fragrance! Our melts are made using only 100% soy wax. We choose this over paraffin wax, for example, as soy wax is non-toxic and burns much more cleanly. All of our fragrances and decoration materials (e.g. glitter) are cruelty free, vegan friendly and sustainable. Our packaging is made from recycled plastic and is recyclable.
Soy wax burns at a lower temperature which means you can be assured of a better scent throw, as the scent is gradually released into the air rather than with a strong, immediate release. We recommend that you use a small tealight to burn your melt on a burner. One rectangle at a time should be enough but we all experience scent throw differently. Equally, our melts can be used in electric wax melt burners.
Safety is important to us which is why we only use soy wax as this eliminates the toxins that can be released with paraffin wax. We ensure that the fragrance oils we use are free of, for example, phthalates and formaldehyde. This means our melts can be used safely in your home with no risk to your health or that of children and pets.
Due to using 100% soy wax, you may find that some of your melts have a white coasting or 'frosting' on them. This is a perfectly natural effect of using soy wax as it is a result of the natural wax re-crystallizing. Frosting has no impact on the burn or quality of fragrance.
So, now you know that our melts are good for the environment (as well as you!) you can order with peace of mind and look forward to the fragrances gently filling your home.
How to use our wax melts

1) Choose your melt and then pop it into either the top of a tealight burner or an electric burner. One rectangle should be plenty but do consider the size of your burner, the size of your room and air conditioning use. Larger rooms may benefit from 2 or 3 rectangles being melted.

2) If using a tealight burner, place a 4hr tealight (not the larger ones, they'll burn the wax too quickly!) under the wax basin and light the tealight. The melt will melt from a solid into a liquid, releasing the fragrance as it does so.

3) Enjoy your fragrance!

4) Once the tealight has gone out, the wax will start to solidify again. You should get another burn out of it but, when you're ready to dispose of the old wax, we find heating it gently for a few minutes with another tealight will let it soften and allow you to scoop it out - be careful it's not hot!

General safety notes

Remember to keep burners away from children and pets and do not move the burner whilst lit.

Our products may look good enough to eat but they are not for consumption, please store wax melts safely away from children. All of our wax melts state the allergens on the back of the packaging.
